The Monument Project

Offering a Memorable Welcome on Enlistment Day

When a loved one becomes one of the newest members of the United States Armed Forces, it is often their first major career decision. He or she wants to make this decision knowing we “have their back,” our full support and confidence as they embark on their exciting new journey as a uniformed member of the United States Military.

As a sponsor of The Monument Project, you provide a unique opportunity for you, your family or business to support a time-honored event — Enlistment Day. As each new service member is administered the Oath of Enlistment, they become part of the elite group of men and women eager to serve our great nation. This solemn oath serves to affirm an individual’s commitment to the core values of bravery, duty, and integrity. The Monument Project, likewise, affirms our commitment to them.

The Bison Monument will be perched on a raised pedestal, placed atop a pentagon-shaped permanent concrete pad, each side representing one of the five Uniformed Services with each service’s plaque, and a bench. There will also be a Department of Defense seal in addition to a flagpole. It will all be located in front of the Military Entrance Processing Station main entrance, Building 799, immediately visible upon entry at the NFARS Main Gate. It will be illuminated nightly utilizing energy-efficient lighting, and will be handicap-accessible via concrete walkway.

Help us make this possible with a gift of any amount. In addition, at specific donation levels, there is a specific corresponding or alternative option available for consideration, as follows:

$2,500. Platinum – the Bison.
$1,000. Gold – the Flagpole.
$500. Silver – one of five benches of each Uniformed Service.
$250. Bronze – one of the five service shields, or DOD seal
